I'm sure most of the people will be impressed of the place more than anything else, dishes ordered while I visited this place was various enough to let me judge the quality, they care about the dish shape more than taste, my dish was sausage as starter I had icey parts in it and it is fully untasty, enough to take a photo from outside no more. By the way, the moment I finished in this place I cross the street to eat in one of the best Dutch oriental dishes in Amsterdam, only 50 meters ....

I have had the enjoyment of dinning at the Five Flyes for about 8 times and have never been disappointed in the meals and of the service. What a great restaurant.

A wonderful atmospheric restaurant. We sat under two Rembrandt etchings! Where else can you do that in a restaurant. Wonderful food. Beautiful mix of flavours. Matched wines were excellent. One of the best meals I've ever had. Great value for money.

I wanted to write and let you know that we had a really enjoyable evening at D' Vijff Vlieghen. We had to amend our reservation to Saturday 18 February and were sat in the glass room. The staff were wonderful, especially our waitress Lillian. I was a cold when we arrived as we were caught in the rain and she immediately turned up the radiator for us. When she returned to check how I was I advised her I was still cold and she brought an electric heater and placed it next to our table. She was very friendly and efficient during our meal without ever imposing. She gave us very personalised service even though the glass room was full with 4 other tables, a couple of which were larger tables. She really is a credit to your team. We look forward to dining at D' Vijff Vlieghen next time we’re in Amsterdam! Many thanks again for a lovely evening!

The internal decoration was impressive. The ambience was excellent. The service was excellent. The food was good. i would recommend friends to dine at this restaurant.

Het tempo van het uitserveren van de gangen zou iets lager mogen wat mij betreft maar voor de rest overweldigend goed!. Ik ben inmiddels -op mijn 44e- wel wat gewend aan top restaurants maar dit is voorlopig mijn nieuwe nummer 1 ,, een 9,6 wil ik als rapportcijfer geven!.. En eigenlijk een 10, maar ja wat moet je dan nog in de toekomst beoordelen in alle zaken nietwaar?! Extreem lekker en bijzondere gerechten en subtiele smaakcombinaties overal.. Uiterst verfijnde 3D-schilderijen welhaast van borden die je voorgeschoteld krijgt,, oogverblindend mooi! Bijgevoegd wijn arrangement ook he-le-maal TOP ,, Perfecte smaakbegeleiders,, vooral de Portugese rode bij het supermalse biefgerecht met citroenpolenta was super, Wat een smaken! Zo apart en bijzonder! Bediening aangename klassieke stijl [past mooi bij de bijna 400 jaar oude uitstraling van het prachtige pand] en helemaal verzorgd en professioneel. Meteen reserveren mensen!! onlangs met een gezelschap van 6 personen een heel leuke en lekkere avond gehad. We kozen voor het verrassingsmenu met wijnarrangement en zowel eten als wijn waren uitstekend, evenals de zeer prettige bediening. Fijne ambiance, voortreffelijke sfeer. Wij komen zeker terug!

Twee weken geleden gegeten, niet gereserveerd. Kwamen binnen direct ging de telefoon. Er liep zeker vier man personeel welke noch ons hielp, noch de telefoon beantwoorden. We kregen een tafel waar al het geschreeuw van een mannelijke werkgever cq baas duidelijk te horen was. Het was ronduit gênant. Is geen hell's kitchen?! Het eten was ok. De amuse smakeloos, voorgerecht redelijk. Hoofdgerecht was ok. Geen toetje genomen, zaten daar niet lekker. Prijs kwaliteit niet in verhouding. Jammer want de verwachtingen waren hoog!

I and my wife really enjoyed the dinner with a special arrangement on October 29. We consulted one of the staff if we can share the Chef's course for the reason of the smaller stomach capacity of Japanese and he accepted our request. It was very memorable and most dellicious dinner for the last night in Amsterdam. I suggest that if the restrant can offer such a half size of the dinner course with 1.5 time of the price. That would be very much convenient for couples like us who can not eat so much.

Met een gezelschap van 34 vrienden een 4 gangen dinér gebruikt in het zaaltje Binnenhof. Een enthousiaste uiteenzetting van Albert over het historische pand en over Nicolas 5th kwam heel goed over. Het gezelschap was uitermate tevreden over de bediening en de geweldige keuken van chef-kok Jeroen die zich ook even liet zien en de vele complimenten gaarne in ontvangst nam. Omdat er binnen ons gezelschap nogal wat muzikaal talent aanwezig was, konden wij tussen de gangen door voor live muziek zorgen waarbij aangetekend dat ook de akoestiek van het oude pand uitstekend in orde was.

Al jaren komen we hier naar volle tevredenheid met onze klantengroepen regelmatig genieten van de ambiance en het smakelijke eten. Ook de flexibiliteit en servicegerichtheid van het personeel wordt door ons enorm gewaardeerd. Het is elke keer weer een feestje om bij D'Vijff Vlieghen te mogen dineren.
